Thinking fields: a new way to learn
Our subjects are unique and they cover all the sections of a standard Curriculum while incorporating unique in-depth THINKING FIELDS. Thinking Fields are subject areas not covered in any other academic setting. While other academic organisations focus on archaic and generalised subject headings, we at ROK Learning believe in looking at all the facets of learning a particular subject. Learn more

We initiated ROK Learning to free children and adult learners from statically absorbing academic facts to instead building critical and innovative thought processes.
The main difference between creativity and innovation is the focus: the former focuses on unleashing the potential of the mind to conceive new ideas with no strategy, while Innovation focuses on developing that creativity into a viable change with new relatively stable systems. We at ROK aim to sky-rocket children’s creativity, while also giving them robust technical skills to design, develop and implement their radical solutions to benefit the world.

Our mission is to give students the keys to building their own knowledge to the highest international levels with a unique curriculum carefully researched and created from the best education systems in the world.
Our advanced curriculum, is truly unique in breadth and depth, prepares your child with the inspired knowledge, critical thinking, and self-confidence needed to be successful throughout their education and well into their futures.
We encourage hard work coupled with right support, gentle encouragement, and creativity to help each child excel.
Ultimately we want happy children who have a joy of learning, an intellectual creativity and an eagerness to develop themselves to reach for and create an extra-ordinary life.
Each day of the program covers a topic from the 10 Thinking fields. So that’s ten sessions a day – lower grades have shorter sessions and higher grades have longer sessions. You are free to do the sessions in any order you choose.
Each session covers a new topic which altogether form part of our systematic curriculum, so that by the end of the year your child will have received knowledge and done exercises and quizzes across a deep and wide knowledge area in Thinking Field.
When you log in to each session, one any given day you will find either a write-up or a video or an activity based on the best way to teach that topic.
Our program is designed to really get children thinking and learning new and unique things, and thinking more innovatively and creatively.
Every month the 16 new topic sessions are supported by 8 revision sessions that builds on their earlier knowledge and this gradual build up encourage cross-functional thinking.
The admissions process could not be simpler – just sign-up and get started. No entrance tests or waiting lists.
We firmly believe all children should have access to this unique curriculum, and have designed it to be flexible so that parents and guardians can easily adjust the program to suit different ability levels.
We offer a fixed tuition plan that does not change for the duration of the grade. So for example if you enroll your child into Grade 4 the prevailing fees at the time of the enrollment will be what is paid for all months of that academic year, you and your child will have one calendar year to complete the academic grade. This means we give a full 12 months access to complete 9 months of curriculum.
We believe in authenticity and transparency – ROK Learning is a private start-up offering a Home-schooling Curriculum, and as such we are not at the stage to secure national or regional body Educational accreditation in any country at present. We encourage you, as guardians or parents who are interested in the program, to review whether you feel it might be a good fit for your requirements and make your decision accordingly. We particularly would appreciate any feedback.
There are no strict requirements for enrollment. We strongly believe all children particularly at the primary school stage develop at different rates and our flexible curriculum can be adjusted to suit different developmental levels.
About your Child
Grade 1: Age 6-7
The progression from Pre-School to Grade 1 is a major milestone for most children and you will find your 6-7 year old’s development is full of opposites. Wanting increased independence in school, on play-dates and birthday parties but also wanting increased re-assurance as they take their first steps into the world of bigger children. Read more
Grade 2: Ages 7-8
This is a time of great curiosity and a thirst for knowledge for most young children, and you will be finding your 7-8 year old’s time full of excitement as they explore, analyse and question about things. They will be keen to share this new found knowledge and will be getting increasingly confident about academic and structured work. Read more
Grade 3: Age 8-9
Children aged 8 to 9 are in the middle of their elementary school years. As they develop their independence more and more, they are also learning more about the world around them and their place in it. This is the age when they also start to think more abstractly, developing their own interests and unique personality traits. Read More
Grade 4: Age 9-10
This age, when children are 9-10 years old, is a time of dramatic change which can be both challenging and amazing. Children at this developmental age have rapid changes in cognitive growth, may be physically maturing, have changing emotions and hormone levels, changes in friendship groups and dynamics. While some 9-10 year-olds will start looking and acting more mature, others will remain more child-like, both physically and emotionally. As these factors are all in a state of flux some children, may seem to almost start sounding ‘grown-up’ going from ‘little kid’ to ‘big kid’ with critical thinking skills, great advances in academic learning, a strong drive for independence, a growing social life, and definite opinions and thoughts on who they are and how they want to be. Grade 5: Age 10-11
Learning accelerates significantly. As children get older and nearer the end of primary school both academic expectations and social-emotional development are start progressing more and more toward independence. Academic work gets more challenging as they are asked to give their opinion. Fifth-graders at age 10-11 may be child-like at times but at other times can show uncertainty about puberty and changes to their bodies. As friends and their extended social circle becomes more important to them, they can be insecure or have mood swings and struggle with self-esteem. Read more
Grade 6: Age 11-12
Typically aged 11-12, students in Grade 6 have a challenging but fun curriculum with increased in-depth technical work, with a stronger emphasis on Maths, Science, Writing and Geo-politics but this has to be balanced with the emotional challenges of nascent adolescence. Social dynamics, too, become more complex, as they and their friends develop their personalities, thoughts and opinions. this is the time they start thinking about the future and their place in it. Your child now will start to experience a greater sense of responsibility, and an increased attention span, but also a rapid changing of interests and a questioning of authority. At this critical time before the teen years, its best to approach the balance of education and other aspects of their lives with a calm gentle manner. Read more

Curriculum

Children get challenged to show what they can. The complete curriculum reveals a complete picture of what your child should know, and the best next steps for filling gaps and charging ahead!
We offer a flexible approach to study with our online tools, based on an existing set of course modules with both innovative and foundational Concepts. The general education courses in this modular curriculum can be paced to suit learners at various stages and in diverse educational settings.
These Thinking Field modules are offered as a complete set but can also be integrated into existing programs, and supplemented by other courses.
